This time, the question is "those things from when I first started climbing," as the factory manager said he'd go back to basics.
By the way, I remembered something the other day while talking to Otaka-kun, whom I've been sponsoring for about 10 years now. My first sport climbing experience, as Hakase, was at Seijin-iwa. I tied the rope for the first time, was led to climb as instructed, and the day ended. I hardly remember anything, but I vividly recall the tension and fear during belaying. I went with an experienced person, so I was the only one who could belay my partner.
I am still incredibly grateful. I want to go back to basics and never forget that feeling of gratitude.
